Huawei E585 Wifi

Huawei E585

Once you have a unlocked device (Huawei E585) you should be able to put in any 3G enabled SIM in your pocket wifi modem. Next thing you need to do is to setup a new profile and you are all done. See the steps below:

  1. Login to your Wifi network
  2. Login to ACP, default user ID: Admin & Password: Admin
  3. Go to Advance Setting from the left hand navigation
  4. Select Connection Settings
  5. Select Profile Settings
  6. Select New
  7. Go to http://is.gd/2sDt32 to find your Network provider settings

In my case I have TPG Pay as you Go SIM and I selected

  • Profile Name: Optus (or anything you like)
  • User Name: blank
  • Password: black
  • Authentication: PAP
  • APN: Static & in the text field enter internet
  • IP Address: Dynamic
